Another trip to Ballycastle this year on board Sean McKays Lady Lynda. 6 members attended

We planned on fishing the pinnacles this day so Sean had told us 7am at the pier. The weather was overcast but the sea was calm enough when we started off. Sean took us to catch some mackerel which were scarce enough but we managed about a dozen and countless scad, small coalies and some small herring.

1st drop at the pinnacles and Armand was straight into a fish, a nice 5.25lb Pollock. A few drifts later and nothing else was caught and it wasn't looking like a good day on the mark. Marty got a nice 8lb Pollock followed by a double hook up of 4lb and 3lb but that was it. We decided at 11.30am to head elsewhere.

We anchored up in the shallow water for some Pollock on the spinning rods. 2 mins in and a shout from Roy rang out with his rod getting pulled over the edge after a fish had taken it!

The Pollock were plentiful here with everyone hooking up with fish, mosrtly in the 3-4lb size. Marty took another 8lb Pollock where the rhubarb & custard sidewinders were killing it all round the boat. A few small coalies and even some mackerel on the spinning rods appeared and we called it a day at 3pm.
