Not a great forecast for this outing, with pretty strong Southerly winds predicted, and we knew we wouldn’t get too far out from land. Targets would be inshore Pollock and Wrasse on reefs close to home.

Not much to comment on this trip, Mackerel were plentiful but otherwise fishing was pretty disappointing with only small Pollack and Ling showing, along with a few Wrasse for Dan Boyle. Only 2 decent fish showed up on the day, a nice spinning rod caught Pollock of 5lb 12oz for Martin Buchanan and a beautifully coloured Red Cod of 6lb 8oz for guest angler Jordan Paull, using the increasingly popular Mickey fish lures, baited with Mackerel.
